We all have our moments where the world feels heavy and it's slowly sinking us into the ground, but there are people who truly deal with this problem each day and the pain just doesn't seem to stop. We people can lend an open hand to those who need a boost when they can't take much more. As a person who has listen to story after story of the hardships; you get a bit of an idea that each day it feels as though a piece of that person dies a bit on the inside without a person being there to pick them when they truly need someone to be that boost they need for the day. even if it's just a simple conversation with laughs and giggle to as far as the long and very meaning full and heart felt letter telling them how much they truly mean to you. A person's life maybe on your hands and the only person that may help them is you.
(NOTE: This section is partially for those who suffer from Depression. Read this paragraph if you want.)
I've seen many different people effect by depression in so many different ways such as crying themselves to sleep, cutting, loss of self esteem, anti social behavior toward friends, and attempted/committing suicide. If these seem to be the steps that are taking place then talking to those that truly care for you such as parents, friends, boyfriend/girlfriend, teacher, heck even your neighbor. there is someone that cares and will be able to listen to what troubles your mind. It's only up to you to find a way to stopping these feelings.
I do not suffer from depression at this point in my life due to my decisions to improve from a not so good past. But even so I do sympathize others that have not found a way to transfer their pain into something new that motivates me to be a much better person. I grew up with a neglectful father that I still to this day do not see very often. I've seen my mother struggle each day to support her children in just her job at R.H Sheppards. I've held her while she cried, been through her side as i grow up as the youngest in my family. But even to this day she's still my hero and i love her more than anything. She inspires me to do better, be all that i can be, and my main reason to be a U.S Army soldier.
(more to come)
